On 31 August 1897, Thomas
Edison was awarded a US Patent No. 589,168 for a “Kinetographic Camera.” This
probably was not the first moving picture camera as several inventors in
Europe, including the Lumière brothers, are thought to have got there first.
The patent documents, however, did provide the basis for building this 3D model
in Blender.
